Summary: Currently, there is significant global research dedicated to the prevention of mastitis in cows, a disease that remains one of the most pressing issues in dairy farming. Mastitis not only causes substantial economic losses due to reduced milk yield and quality, but it also necessitates costly veterinary treatments. Over the years, various strategies have been developed to combat this disease, including the creation of anti-mastitis vaccines and selective breeding for disease-resistant cattle. Researchers have drawn attention to the relationship between non-specific immunobiological reactivity and the natural resistance of cows, prompting further exploration into the molecular regulation of the immune response to prevent mastitis. This has led to significant breakthroughs in understanding how immune mechanisms can be harnessed to enhance the natural defenses of cows against mammary gland infections.
